Rugby
WHO WE ARE
Today CUS Pavia is undoubtedly the point of reference for the provincial rugby movement and is one of the most consolidated realities in the Region. The first rugby match, of which there is certain information, was played by a university team from Pavia in 1933. Over the years, the sector has grown and numerous teams have played and play in various championships. The first men’s team plays in the Serie C1 National Championship.
The section has been affiliated with the FIR since 1964
WHAT WE DO
The start-up activity includes numerous teams that allow young people to gradually learn the discipline and then become part of the first men’s team. In recent years the mini rugby movement (4-12 years) has grown enormously with hundreds of children practicing it. CUS Pavia rugby is also an “Old” men’s non-competitive activity, an initiative that allows former players to continue practicing their discipline, and adult neophytes to gradually approach it. CUS Pavia Rugby participates in the CNU and federal championships.
